[ Uncertain multilateral talks in December ] The Yonhap News Agency says it is still unclear whether a new round of multilateral nuclear talks with North Korea will take place in December as hoped by concerned parties, quoting a U.S. official. U.S. Assistant Secretary of State James Kelly said Washington hopes that the six-party talks will resume in December, but that it is still uncertain at the moment. The U.S. point man on North Korea made the remark upon arrival in Seoul to discuss scheduling the next round of nuclear talks as well as joint strategies. Seoul is the final leg of his three-nation Asian trip, which also took him to Japan and China.
