The move, comes two days after the majority Grand National Party joined forces with two other opposition parties to override Roh’s initial veto of the special counsel bill by 209 votes to 54. Signing the bill during a Cabinet meeting at Cheong Wa Dae, Roh said that he doesn’t want the current political situation to be viewed as a power struggle between the president and opposition forces. “In a democratic society, opinions can differ and should be ironed out through democratic systems,” Roh said.
